Sovetsk (formerly Tilsit) is the second largest city in the region after Kaliningrad. Besides, it is considred both as a developed industrial center (with growing furniture, food, consumer goods and engineering industries) and the city with a unique historical heritage. A large number of architectural monuments have survived in Sovetsk. One of the greatest monuments is the Queen Louise Bridge connecting Sovetsk with the smallest Lithuanian town Panemune. The Queen Louise Bridge is absolutely worth seeing!
