Fort #5 is another preserved military fortification of the former Koenigsberg. It was built in 1878, surrounded by ditches, a moat filled with water, an earth rampart and a stone wall. Everything was arranged in order to most effectively keep the defense. Today, the fort houses a branch of the Kaliningrad Regional Historical and Art Museum. You can see a photo exhibition, an exposition of military equipment and plunge into the historical reconstruction of events.
