Muhlhausen Church (another name – St. Anne’s Church) in the village of Gvardeiskoye was founded in the 14th century. Now this building belongs to the German Evangelical-Lutheran community. Historians mention its unique decoration. A court artist painted frescoes in the church, the sanctuary composition was skilfully carved, and a portrait of Martin Luther hung on the wall. Up to date you can find slabs with epitaphs and fragments of ornamentation – their restoration took more than 12 years.
