Friedland Church (currently the church of St. George) was founded in the 14th century. The building has an interesting history – it didn’t suffer any damage during the Second World War, but three years later it was plundered literally overnight. The church was rebuilt many times, and almost every time some new architectural elements were added to it. Explorers were lucky to find securities and coins inside the church. Today, the historical building has been consecrated and belongs to the Orthodox Church.
