The tower is 15 meters high, and the thickness of the walls reaches three meters. This is a real bastion of the 19th century with loopholes and a defensive moat. Previously an artillery gun was located in each casemate of the tower, and the tower was an important element of the historic defence ring that surrounded Koenigsberg. Significantly, the building almost didn’t suffer any damages during the war. Today, one can enjoy a beer or a cup of coffee in the cafe on the spot.
