Schloss Hotel means a ‘castle hotel’ in German, and its history definitely proves it. A hunting castle of the King of Prussia Frederick the First used to be located there. In the 19th century it was purchased by Moritz Becker. Later he had the old building demolished and build a hotel with sculptures on the roof, surrounded by a park of 12 hectares around. After the war it was restored after drawings and photographs of the castle only in 2012. Today, Schloss Hotel has been awarded a 5-star status, which is absolutely deserved.
